Brake Services

Life throws a lot of twists, turns and roadblocks our way -- make sure you’re prepared. Your safety depends on reliable brakes. Brake pads eventually wear down and need to be replaced, usually every 25,000 to 45,000 miles for cars, and 20,000 to 30,000 for trucks.

Stay on the Road With Our Brakes Forever® Program

Make sure your brakes are protected and intact with the help of Mr. Tire’s ASE certified brake experts. Not only will we inspect your brakes for free, but with our Brakes Forever® program, you only pay once for your brake pads. The next time it’s on us.*

What To Expect

Our brake check includes a thorough examination of all brake system components, including the brake pads or shoes, rotors or drums, calipers, and brake lines. With disc brakes, brake pads line the calipers, which act as clamps on the disk-like rotors to stop your vehicle. Our technicians can “turn” or resurface most rotors at least once, to eliminate brake pulsations or shaking, but it can be more cost-effective to replace the rotors.

What you should know about your vehicle's brakes

  • A good time to inspect your brakes is when the wheels are off for a tire rotation. We recommend that you rotate your tires and check you brakes at least every 5,000 miles. This coincides with the oil change intervals for many vehicles. Consult your owner's manual and tire warranty for additional guidance.
  • When your wheels are off for a tire rotation, it's much easier for our technicians to inspect your vehicle's brake pads and rotors.***
  • A low brake fluid level can indicate excessive brake pad wear. "Topping off" only covers up the problem.
